Supporting the importance of live entertainment and the arts in general that affect our culture and society.

The mission of Keep Live Alive Saint Louis is to raise awareness of the needs of the creative arts in the greater St. Louis region. Raising awareness through advocacy, fundraising, and the sharing of information, the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society and Keep Live Alive Saint Louis seek to encourage those individuals to help them with their goals and dreams in the area of multidisciplined creative endeavors.

FAQ

Who is eligible to apply for a grant from Keep Live Alive Saint Louis?
Any teacher, counselor, or representative from a high school in the St. Louis Region, with an interest in the Fine Arts, may apply. We define the Fine Arts as Dance, Theatre, Music, and Art in all its mediums.
What is considered the St. Louis Region for this application?
In Missouri:
St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles and Warren counties.

In Illinois:
Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair Counties.

Can a business apply for a grant?
No, these grants are for high schools only.
Can more than one person apply from a single high school?
Yes, any eligible person may apply. A team from one school could also apply for a combined project. But remember only one grant of $5,000 USD will be awarded in the St. Louis Region.
What is the deadline and how long will the review process take?
All entries must be emailed or postmarked by 11:59pm on December 3, 2021. The review process could take up to 45 days. We will do our best to work through applications as quickly as possible. Early submissions are welcome and encouraged.
How will an applicant be chosen?
Keep Live Alive Saint Louis administered by the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, will select a recipient based on an objective, point-based determination. The applications will be judged on creativity, the ideals of Keep Live Alive Saint Louis, and need.
How much will my school receive if my application is approved?
The winning high school entry will receive a one-time grant of $5,000 USD.
Is the grant money taxable?
No. This is a one-time gift, but please consult your school board if you have questions.
What documentation will I need to provide?
You will need to submit a completed application, which includes a narrative of the project/program and need to be met. Your application must also include Building Principal approval.
How may grants be used?
The Grant may be used for a project or program that furthers the ideals of Keep Live Alive Saint Louis. If your school wins, the Grant money must be used as described in the application. The Grant money cannot be used for an individual teacher or student. (See application for ideas).
When will my school receive the money if we are awarded a grant?
The grant recipient will be notified by February 1, 2022.
Will I be notified if I am not awarded a grant?
No. Due to the volume of grant applications, only the school selected will be notified.

There will be a public announcement of the winning school at a later date.

What if I win?
If your entry is chosen as our Grant winner, we will notify you through the contact information supplied in your application.

By your signatures, you give us permission to use your name, likeness and your essay in any material we publish, post, or share publicly in print, video or other media. You also agree to keep us informed of how your school uses the grant as a case study to help us design future grants and/or present a success story for future fund raisers. If applicable, we would ask for the following sentence to be incorporated in your communications about the event, project, or program: "This project was partially funded by Keep Live Alive Saint Louis and the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society."

Upon acceptance of the grant, and your signatures, you agree that the money will only be used in the way it was described in the winning entry. Your check will be made out to your school, school district or department, as directed by your building principal or other authorized officer of your school.

Keep Live Alive Saint Louis was formed to provide assistance to Live Entertainment professionals in financial need due to the ongoing 'intermission' of live events. It is part of the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is "to preserve, promote and honor St. Louis' unique classic rock heritage and its place in music and pop culture history"

On March 12, 2021, a FREE 90-minute special debuted on YouTube featuring some of St. Louis' most iconic venues, many performers & personalities, plus interviews with top entertainment executives. The program included appearances and performances by national and local musicians and personalities including:
